All funds raised go to our TCF of SWFL Chapter. We will also use this years funds to help offset the costs for our members who attend the National Conference that will be in Orlando Florida this year, July 28-30, 2017. Sadly every month we have had new members and these funds make it possible for us to be there for them and to continue to support one another.

Please reach out with any questions at our email swflcf@live.com
The Compassionate Friends is pleased to announce that Orlando, Florida, will be the site of the 40th TCF National Conference on July 28-30, 2017. “Rays of Sunshine, Oceans of Hope” is the theme of this year’s event. The 2017 Conference will be held at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek- 14100 Bonnet Creek Resort Ln, Orlando, Florida 32821

Plan to come and be a part of this heartwarming experience.

Conference Registration and Hotel Reservations will open on February 15, 2017.

Our Chapter is so excited to have this event here in Florida hopefully making it possible for many of our members to attend. Those of us who have attended a National Conference have been touched so deeply and we are confident our members will benefit from this experience. Our Chapter will be taking care of the Hospitality Room and there will be many opportunities for us to volunteer in various ways at the Conference.
Our Steering Committee is working on "subsidizing" some of the costs that go with attending a conference for the first 35 people to commit. If we raise more funds we will be able to help more members go. Our goal is to cover the Registration-which is usually $90 the Saturday evening meal and the Walk that is held on Sunday morning.
Members will be responsible for their travel to Orlando and their hotel room cost (discounted rooms at the Bonnet Creek Hilton will be about $149 + fees per night) and meals other than Saturday evening.

Once you have committed and made a hotel reservation (doesn't have to be at the Bonnet Creek Hilton, can be anywhere in Orlando) we will pay for your Registration, Saturday Meal & Walk. This is a lot of information so please feel free to reach out to Linda via the Chapter email swflcf@live.com with questions

Here's a "glimpse" into the 2015 Conference:

May 21, 2016 - Mom's Dad's & Grandparent's Breakfast @ The Original Pancake House:
Mother's Day, Father's Day & Grandparent's Day are in our near future. Let's try getting together for a casual breakfast in honor of all of these holidays! These are very difficult dates for many of us (I stay on the couch) so we are hoping by gathering on a neutral date we can all help each other get through to celebrate being a special ANGEL Mom, Dad or Grandparent! Hope you will join us....Hugs & Love

Annual Virtual Walk-To-Remember -   July 3-10, 2016. This is our opportunity to fund-raise on-line! It allows our community, family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, clubs, & groups to do something for our group! The "fun" begins when each of us creates a separate page in memory of our child(ren), under our team page, and then share that personalized page with your child's friends and family.
